The firepower that can be unleashed by one individual has risen dramatically in current with the threshold raised again latterly with the arrival of a powerful new MIlkor MGL Multiple Grenade Launcher that may be carried by the U. S. Marines as revolutionary new weapon.
That the MGL can launch 6 40mm grenades within 3 seconds is scary enough, but many factors make it particularly effective. The first is the special sight that permits a Soldier to "follow" the grenade to the destination and immediately adjust and chase up with a lethal volley of corrected fire. The second factor is that amongst the wide range of ammunition available to the MGL is the Martin Electronics ( MIE ) Direct Range Air-Consuming Ordnance (DRACO) Grenade. Just one MIE DRACO will turn a large building into rubble.
You can keep your BFG - the MGL is probably going to become the weapon of choice for first person shooter computer gamers too, and already it is being added to many of these video games, and 3-D wireframes of it abound. It was also employed in the film, the Transformers.
Similarly the HELLHOUND ammo is twice as fatal as regular rounds. The chances are unlimited, and you can carry 6 differing kinds of rounds pre-loaded. You are ready for any probability. When the sun sets on the ocean,
and the waves dazzle so,
the ripples and surf,
all blinded by snow.
The reflections all bouncing,
and creating the white,
like the shine in your eyes,
all dancing and bright.
One shade of blue,
in two perfect machines,
both pure and unspoken,
soft, wide and clean.
They capture your prey,
by enticing them in,
and not letting go,
like claws into skin.
So gentle and deadly,
so silent and sweet,
one look in the whirlpool,
impossible retreat.
Your look is a monster,
on good days and bad,
when you smile, its hopeless,
any man can be had.
You take all the air,
and you empty the room,
til nothing is left,
but those eyes...that tomb,
for that's where I'll rest,
forever and now,
in pools of blue,
my head takes a bow.
And while Heaven awaits,
for those who've lived well,
my future's uncertain,
I may end up in Hell.
But I pray to God each day,
for knowledge and direction,
and that I always see you,
When I see my reflection.
Wow when/how did you come up with this? I believe it already has the necessary aspects of a good poem. Imagery, thought provoking, major themes, and figurative language. Absolutely beautiful.
