I just got my hair dyed from dark brown to blonde?
By a proffesional stylist.
But i really hate it.
It turned out to have a tint of orange, so i went to
Rite aid and bought a
"Ultra Light Natural Blonde" Dye.
My mom says that if i do it, it will make my hair more orange.
But i have asked a few people, and they say it will make it blonde and the only reason it's orange is because it was from brown to blonde.
Should I dye it or leave it?
OMFG leave it! My mom did the same thing just a few weeks ago! DO NOT DYE OVER THE COLOUR!! Stripping the hair will not work either because you chemically lightened the colour.
It turned orange because either your stylist left the colour on too long (however in that case, it usually turns greenish) or they had no effing idea what they were doing. The latter is more likely the case, which means that there is a colour foundation missing in your hair.
The best thing to do is not dye over it, but instead use a purple or blue based shampoo that will effectively change your hair to a less brassy shade of blonde. Just go to a salon suppliers store and they will help you find the right thing.
Definitely do not dye over it though. It dries out your hair significantly, and will most likely change the colour to something worse.
If neither of these ideas help, then go to a colour-corrective specializing salon, pay big bucks, and they will for sure fix your colour.
