Environmentally Friendly Eco Products New Range

We have a new range of Environmentally Friendly Eco Products which we are very excited about! It includes recycled clothes hangers, recycling bags, bag grips, cleaning spongers, dusters, multipurpose cloths, clothes line, peg basket and pegs! Let me tell you about some of them….

For the kitchen why not try the Ecoforce Recycled Bag Grips – very easy to use, freezer safe and has the added benefit of reducing your food waste! For tough cleaning the Ecoforce Recycled Heavy Duty Kitchen Scourer Pads are ideal.

Made from 100% recycled fiber they wipe & scour and can be used wet with your favorite washing up liquid or cleaner. They are also available as Non-Scratch and there is a Super Absorbent Sponge Scourer for bathroom cleaning.

The Recycled Black Hangers come as Suit Hanger, Trouser Hanger, Notched Shirt Hanger all with a chrome swivel hook, plus the 30cm wide Strong Clip Hanger – ideal for hanging Lingerie, Skirts & Trousers.

I recently received a flyer from my local Council about a new bin I would be receiving to collect food waste along with my garden waste. Apparently 40% of the waste in the bin in made up of food waste. I'm pretty good at making sure I use all my leftovers – anyone who has a dog will know that there aren't too many leftovers to throw away anyway!

Like many I already use environmentally friendly washing up liquid and so on, but when it comes to stain removal and other emergency cleaning items or keeping up with the day to day cleaning I've also tried to minimize the chemicals I use (and the electricity used when hoovering and more!)

Having recycling bins in your house doesn't mean you need to have unattractive bags and boxes all over the place – these Connectable Recycling Bags are proof. They are large and strong enough to cope with the average family's weekly load of recyclable items, and each bag has press studs to lock them together. Being washable and very strong means they can be reused for many years.  The perfect solution for storing and sorting your recyclables.

However, it got me thinking a bit more about how I could make sure I am as Green as possible! I recently mentioned the brilliant new Reusable Stay Fresh Plastic Can Caps.  You can make sure you use already opened cans and jars of food and drink – the can of beans that isn't quite finished or juice you'll drink later. These easy to use and fit caps will keep food fresh and minimize wastage.

In the spirit of my previous ‘green' articles I wanted to include in this topic one of the most important and enjoyable activities in people's lives… holidays! The obvious choice would be the camping holiday and with numbers of people camping (and the age dropping) it seems many people have already made this choice.  Apparently the average age of campers has dropped dramatically – averaging previously around 60 and now in the 40s… why? Well partly because more families want to enjoy a ‘green' holiday and enjoy the benefits of the Countryside right on their doorstep, after all we are known for our Great British Countryside and with so much to enjoy the possibilities are endless for camping destinations in this country!

Honda Odyssey weird problems on damp pavement and highway driving?

I have a 2 year old Odyssey with good tires and religious maintenance.
When I try to accelerate on even the slightest damp pavement, it will go "clunk clunk clunk" and not go forward, like it cannot get a grip on the pavement. I have never had this problem with any other car, and it is even with the slightest bit of damp. What is the problem???
Also, on highway speed, sometimes when I accelerate, I get a "feeling" in my body like the car is not hitting all the cylinders, like a very brief "catch" sensation. My son thinks maybe it happens when you accelerate when the "eco" light is on. I am not sure, but possibly that is the case.
I am going to bring the van in to the dealer, but I don't really know what to expect or what to think about these problems. I'm frustrated because it is a new vehicle and it was expensive. Any thoughts or advice or similar problems with your van?

what model is the car? On some of the Odyssey's (such as the EX Touring) there is a traction control system that may be what you are feeling. The way that traction control works is this--when a wheel starts to lose traction, as would happen on a wet road, the wheel that is losing traction starts to spin faster than the other wheels. That triggers the traction control system. Depending on the system, some cars will cut out engine cylinders to reduce the engine power and that slows the wheel spin and allows the wheel to regain traction. Other systems pulse the anti-lock brakes to slow the wheel that is spinning faster (that may be the clunk-clunk-clunk noise. Some systems use both.

I don't know what system your Odyssey has on it. The shop forman or service manager at your honda dealer would be able to tell you. Most of the service advisors that meet you when you pull in won't know so ask if you can get an explanation from a mechanic or the service manager. Tell them that you don't know anything about the traction control.

also, there is no timing adustment on the Odyssey and the 'tune up' is simply a change of spark plugs that isn't required until 110,000 miles. I expect that you have very little mileage on your car.

best of luck
