Is a Trout Fishing Guide Important?
You bet your life it is!
It is not uncommon to hear a few a few anglers narrate the ‘dark tales' of trout fishing, you know, where they've had a little or no success and what not. I promise you, these anglers have gone nowhere near a proper fishing guide. This is paradoxical really, given the general understanding of the importance of preparation. Enough with the lecture, a fishing guide is necessary for any serious angler. Here are a few points to guide you through a successful fishing experience.
It is very necessary to take keen interest of very simple factors that most of individuals fail to understand. If you engage yourself in fishing, you are always advised to maintain a very silent back ground as excessive noise always seems to be a major disruptive issue. This implies that whenever you decide going for fishing, it is very important to leave behind factors such as your dog and radio back at home. Fish are very sensible and even slight noises can make the fish move away (far away) from you thus hindering the great fishing opportunities that might have been got from an area which had very interesting prospects. Browns Canyon on the Arkansas River in Colorado ???
I will be fishing there in mid-August. I will be using light spinning tackle and might break out the fly rod. I will be targeting trout. Any suggestions on colors and baits for a light spinning rod and any suggestions on colors and flys.
Colors and baits are going to be very dependent on the conditions on the day you're fishing. I'd check with the locals to see what has been working in recent days, once you get there.
