I'm 13, and I am getting this rusty brown colored goo in my undies. It smells a bit, my period?
Okay, I noticed today I'm have this discharge in my underwear, and I actually saw some dripping from somewhere, and it was a mix between milky and rusty brown. There was some also in my undies. It doesn't smell too bad, but it does smell. It doesn't hurt, but it I geuss there is so much, I feel like I've wet myself sometimes.
I am not sexually active, and I do not masturbate. Could I be starting my period? Please don't scare me into thinking I have an STD, or an infcetion. I keep my privates very clean, and trim, and I wipe backwards ( vaginal to anus, so no bacteria from my bottom gets transferred to my personal ), and I wear clean undies everyday. My mom says my period should be coming in about 30 days max, or so, and I've been getting discharge in my undies for about a week and a half.
Before, I've had discharge, for about a year and a half, but it came out as white or sometimes a yellow color, and didn't have a smell.
Please, can you help me?
It sounds like your period. Since your period is new, it will take a little while to get it down to a science, and for it to just last the normal length of time. So, you will have weird spotting, and all that. Not all period discharge is pure red, oftentimes, it can be the rusty color you mention. I would say, if you are concerned, try to see a doctor. It's nothing to be embarrased about, all women go through this!
By the way, the white/yellow discharge can be normal for women, especially coming into the age you are.
