What color saddle do I need?

This next show season I'm planning on doing hunter and some lower level dressage(like really lower level, like walk/trot level and maybe some training) at 4-h shows. I currently have a dark chestnut saddle. I have heard that judges want brown in the hunter ring and black in the dressage arena. Is that true? If so, would it matter at my level of showing?

It won't matter at your level of showing, Plus your in 4-H which lets some rules slide on tack, attire, etc. It's not like your going to Compete at the Rolex or a Pony Club event. When you get into a higher level (especially dressage) you will need a black dressage show saddle. For 4-H and Beginner Nov. class, don't worry.
