With wet and/or dry cat food, is it better to get one with fish or something that flies?
I keep hearing that fish is not so great, but so many good brands of cat food, both wet and dry, are made with fish while also having things that fly. For instance, I can get a Blue Buffalo wet food can of 95% salmon. But if fish is bad, why even put out stuff with fish in it? Should I only be serving stuff with chicken or turkey in it (I'll add lamb into the non swimming category even though they obviously can't fly)? Or should I serve both? My Chicken Soup for the Cat Lover's Soul dry food is chicken flavored. But my wet food is mixed. What's better and why?
Fish is okay for cats to eat when it is in the form of cat food. It is tinned tuna that is bad for cats. Fish is perfectly okay if equally combined with chicken and other poultry.
