which thailand island has the clearest blue sea and whitest sand and best weather in July?
Where is the most beautiful, dreamy island in thailand..that also has cheap hut accomodation which i can book 3 days in advance of renting them?
Your question amuses me because it reminds me so much of the first time I went to Thailand with best friend. He was obsessed with finding that exact kind of beach. Well, here's what we found. Those beaches exists but they tend to be very crowded and more pricey. I guess everyone wants 'clear blue sea and white sand'. There's a lot in the south. Phi Phi is where they filmed the beach.
Phuket has a good mix of beaches. I stayed at Nai Thon and although the sand wasn't white, it was a very nice pale brown color and the water was crystal blue and there was hardly anyone around and places were reasonable. The down side is that it's an hour taxi ride from the happening place on the island (Patong Beach).
If you're willing to compromise the pure white sand for a a little more reclusive of a place with cheap accommodations, check out Koh Chang. Lost of lovely beaches and still not too over populated. Prices are really reasonable.
Anyway, good luck, hope you find just he perfect spot.
P.S. Don't get suckered in by aerial pictures on post cards. The angle of the picture taken from a plane makes the water look at lot more crystal blue and the sand a lot cleaner.
