Dream Of Being A travel Writer
Welcome Intrepid Writers & Sun Seekers, You couldn't hope for a better opportunity than this..
Prepare to see the light..
Behold the revolution… Where travel and talent blend, in a new fresh and liberating way before your very eyes. In more than just the odd splash in a magazine, you my dear friends, are about to experience the ultimate thrill, the rush of rushes and the lifestyle only dreamt of by the enslaved populus.
Your creative writing ability to fill the imaginations of the less endowed, is about to be unleashed to fly freely like the racing winds of time. The elements are in place, the moons are alighned, your guiding star is approaching at a rate of knots unseen since records began and man first realised he actually had the capacity to think, feel, touch and most importantly Choose his own destiny..
Today, travel truely becomes a lifestyle and not just an annual perk that is delivered at a price to the tired and weary of the subordinate 9 to 5 club.
Today paradise is closer than it has ever been. You are only ever a few clicks away from your true calling and today you are being hailed to fulfill your true destiny.
The life and career of a travel writer has always been a road well trodden, but rarely a road continued past the second bend. Not pot holes but trenches, not hills but mountains where only the strongest and most dedicated survive.
Why..? (Big dramatic screech of brakes).
Well, you need a publisher and with the escalating demand for higher quality writing, it's putting the publisher in control, so your fate is 95% sealed as a dead end. There is only so much writing they can consume and with so many spins on a certain town or city or exotic destination, your chances of getting published are slim to none without spending years and a fortune in proving yourself and paying your own way flying about like a lost goose.

Do geo-stationary orbits travel at the same speed that the earth spins at?
I know it takes one full earth day to orbit the earth, but surely it has to be moving more quickly than the earth? It's a lot further away and therefore it has a lot more ground to cover in just one day. So it must move at a much larger speed to compensate for the greater distance it has to travel.
You are correct, the satellite has to move a lot faster than the speed of the surface of the earth.
see the reference, it has a nice video.
Geostationary orbits can be achieved only very close to the ring 35,786 km (22,236 mi) high, directly above the equator. This equates to an orbital velocity of 3.07 km/s (1.91 mi/s) or a period of 1436 minutes, which equates to almost exactly one sidereal day or 23.934461223 hours.
