Question about fishing fly/jig tying?

I use hard as nails (clear nail polish) and the fly cement to finish my ties. Do i need to run them in water or soak them in anything to make sure the scent doesn't scare the fish or should weeks of drying do that?

After it dries you do not need to worry about that scent. It dries pretty quick also. That hard as nails will work the best by itself.
